Balancing the Scales is a ministry of the Diocese of Nebraska focused on developing faithful witnesses to criminal justice reform through prayer, formation opportunities, and workshops.
Balancing the Scales recognizes that the criminal justice system is broken and that our baptismal promises to love our neighbor as ourselves, to strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being requires us to seek reform. This ministry was established by Bishop Barker in 2019.
